Can Minifigure Keychains Be Converted Into Regular Minifigures?

Yes, minifigure keychains can have their keychain attachments removed. However, whether the minifigure has a hole depends on the version you purchase.

At Brick This Now, you'll encounter two types of product listings.

1. Products with only a “Minifigure Keychain” option

If a product listing offers only the Minifigure Keychain option, the keychain attachment is already installed by default.

These are generally older versions of our custom minifigures, which were originally produced as keychains.

Although the keychain attachment can be removed, a hole will remain where the attachment was fitted.

If you're planning to display the figure without its keychain, please keep this in mind before purchasing.

2. Products with “With Keychain” and “Without Keychain” options

Some newer custom minifigures offer two purchase options:

• With Keychain: The minifigure comes with a keychain attachment.
• Without Keychain: The minifigure comes without the keychain attachment and without a keychain hole.

If you prefer a regular minifigure for your collection or display, we recommend choosing the Without Keychain option whenever it is available.

Important: Removing a keychain attachment from an older keychain-only figure will not remove the existing hole. To receive a hole-free minifigure, select a product that explicitly offers the Without Keychain option.

Q: Can I remove the keychain from a custom minifigure?

Yes. The keychain attachment can be removed, but older keychain-only versions will have a hole remaining after removal.

Q: How do I buy a custom minifigure without a keychain hole?

Choose a product listing that offers both With Keychain and Without Keychain options. Select Without Keychain to receive a minifigure without the attachment or keychain hole.

Q: Why do some Brick This Now minifigures come with keychains already attached?

Some older custom minifigure versions were manufactured with keychain attachments installed by default. These attachments are removable, but the original mounting hole remains.
