Character origin and background
Edward Newgate, known as Whitebeard, led a pirate crew built around the family he valued. He stood among the great figures of Roger’s generation, with his reputation and strength shaping the balance of power at sea.
His Tremor-Tremor Fruit produces devastating shockwaves. Marineford placed his bonds with Ace and his crew at the centre of the story, making this design relevant to both legendary-pirate and war-themed collections.
