This independent third-party custom minifigure is inspired by Darth Malgus from Star Wars: The Old Republic. Choose Keychain or Without Keychain for a Legends-era Sith display, or pair him with Jedi from the same wider setting.
Character origin and background
Darth Malgus is a human Sith Lord of the resurgent Sith Empire in the Star Wars Legends continuity. Trained under Vindican, he participates in the Empire’s return at Korriban, where his encounter with Jedi Master Kao Cen Darach appears in The Old Republic’s Return cinematic.
He later becomes a major Imperial commander, fighting on Alderaan and leading the assault on the Jedi Temple during the Sacking of Coruscant. His dissatisfaction with the Empire’s internal rivalries and restrictions on alien participation develops into a challenge to its leadership. That combination of ruthless ambition and unconventional views distinguishes him from a Sith who simply follows the existing hierarchy.
Malgus belongs to the Old Republic setting thousands of years before the Skywalker films. He is a different character from Darth Malak, Revan’s former apprentice in Knights of the Old Republic; the similar names should not be used interchangeably.
