Character origin and background
Sue Storm Richards became Invisible Woman after cosmic-ray exposure during the flight that created the Fantastic Four. Her ability to disappear developed into sophisticated control of invisible force fields, making her one of the team’s most versatile protectors.
As Reed’s wife and Johnny’s older sister, Sue stands at the centre of the Fantastic Four’s family relationships. Her leadership and resolve are as important as her powers, and her role extends well beyond being the team’s invisible member.
